civil war re-enactment

The Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum hosts a one-day living history event in conjunction with the Washington State Civil War Association. Rifles blast and cannons boom in the fictitious Battle of Mineral Creek. Throw on a hoop skirt and polish your brass buttons; we’re traveling through the forest and foothills of Mt. Rainier on a steam train ride accompanied by re-enactors in beautiful period garb. At our destination in Mineral, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back into a bygone era when you witness a skirmish between the rebels and the union soldiers. (Skirmish includes realistic gunfire scenes.)
