THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride AUDITIONS SATURDAY OCTOBER 6TH 2018 10AM-5PM

Category: Non-Equity Audition
Description:  MRRR announces auditions for THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride; a live, interactive event based on the film by Warner Bros.
Seeking:  Actors and Singers to portray various roles.

Conductor:  Our traditional charming, outgoing, stern yet lovable leader (M, 35-50)

Hero Boy:  Quiet yet curious.  Our doubting hero embarks on his journey of discovery (M, 9-12)

Hobo:  Mysterious yet personable rail rider, interacts with everyone.   Represents the doubt in our Hero Boy (M, 25-35)

Know it All Kid:  Always has to get the last word in.  Funny, quick witted

Waiters / Chefs:  Staff of the train that keep the operation of the Polar Express running.  They take ownership of their individual train cars

Smokey & Steamer:  Brothers from the movie, compete with greasy coveralls and tools.  Always ready to fix something whether it needs repair or not!

Hero Girl:  Always at our Hero Boy’s side and helps with the atmosphere and the magical story of the Polar Express

Mrs. Smokey:  Fun loving mother to Smokey and Steamer.  Proud and boisterous of her two railroad gems.  She can be a great addition for the Cocoa Class car

Sarah:  Our Hero Boy’s younger sister.  Can be utilized in station and possible on platform for all pre-boarding scenes

Billy:  Billy is the lonely boy from the film and can stay close to Hero Boy in his scenes on train.  Billy is the boy who lives by Hero Boy

Santa Clause:  Warm friendly traditional Santa with real beard if possible

Elves:  Fun loving spirited elves that help spread the magic.
