Rails to Ales: June – September 2020
Board your coach on a vintage 1940s and 1950s train set from the platform at the historic depot Elbe, WA and enjoy a train ride through the Nisqually Valley. Cross rivers and streams in the foothills of Mt. Rainier as your Rails to Ales journey takes you to Camp 6, our historic logging camp.
Upon arrival at our historic logging camp, you’ll have two hours to taste offerings from regional breweries such as Narrows Brewing, Half Lion Brewing and Rouge Ales. Listen to excellent live music while you have your palate satiated with lunch provided by local caterers.
Each brewery will have their own story to tell about their unique brewing process and history and will keep you engaged and wanting to know more. The photo opportunities with our collection of steam locomotives and vintage logging equipment are unrivaled.

Standard Class train coaches are Tacoma Rail cars representative of the 1950’s era Amtrak passengers cars offering reserved seating in climate controlled environment with comfortable front-facing upholstered seats in paired rows.Ride in style in First Class aboard 1940s Olympian Hiawatha coaches from the Milwaukee Road. These table-and-chair coaches allow for parties of 4 to sit facing each other with reserved seating in a climate controlled environment. First Class tickets include the additional amenities of a dedicated car attendant, complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Your fare includes 6 tasting tickets to use at the museum, a souvenir Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum tasting glass, live musical entertainment and a scrumptious meal at the museum complete with dessert.
