Start your weekend early for an experiential journey on the Eastern Tacoma Railway of the Milwaukee Road as we enjoy beer, rails, and the forests and foothills of Mt. Rainier all in one long summer evening!

Board your coach from the platform at the historic Elbe Depot, and as you enjoy the ride through the Nisqually Valley and cross rivers and streams in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, attendants will share stories of the Pacific Northwest’s pioneer settlement and growth. Travel through the logging heartland of Cascadia pulled vintage locomotives that have transported people and goods through these mountains for a century. First Class passengers will enjoy a light sampling of Pacific Northwest craft beers in commemorative souvenir glasses. Once at the Railroad and Logging Museum, enjoy a BBQ dinner, guided museum tours, and live entertainment.

Your fare includes steam train ride, museum admission,  a scrumptious meal at the museum and dessert served during the train ride home. Standard Class is an all-ages family-friendly ride, while First Class passengers enjoy 5 beer tastings while en route to the museum and receive a souvenir Mt. Rainier Railroad glass. Passengers must show valid ID before boarding First Class cars.

  • The event area is in an outdoor area of a historic logging camp. Please dress according to weather conditions both current and anticipated. You can expect cool or rainy weather any time in Washington!
  • Sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
  • You cannot bring your own alcoholic beverages on board.
  • Restrooms are available at the museum and on board the train.
